Coronado Brewing Company is a long-time dream of brothers, Ron and Rick Chapman. In the beginning, they could not find a strong inspiration for establishing the brewery. In a city like San Diego building a microbrewery seems like a long shot. However, in an effort to celebrate their islander roots, they have finally decided to open up the Coronado Brewing Company. Since its establishment, the brewery has steadily grown. Some of its finest beers, Mermaid Red, Islander IPA and Coronado Golden, have managed to make an impression among beer enthusiasts.
