Brouwerij Bavik Brewing Company is a Belgian brewery that is founded by the De Brabandere family. The brewery was built at the initiation of Adolphe De Brabandere in August 1894. With a vision to build his own brewery, Adolphe filed an application to town council for a permit to build a brewery. During the 1950s, table beers and pils beers from Brouwerij Bavik are exclusively sold to cafes and people. It was not until 1975 when Brouwerij Bavik started to expand beyond its local communities. By 1982, a beer specialty, ‘Petrus Oud Bruin’, came about that lead to the brewery’s continued success.
