De Koningshoeven is a Dutch trappist brewery founded by the trappist monks of Koningshoeven in 1884. The monks traditionally use natural ingredients, barley malts, hops and yeast for crafting fine flavors of beers. The well within the monasteries is used as the main source of water for brewing. Fermentation process is usually done in 18 to 20 degree Celsius. Thereafter, beers are bottled with yeast and sugar. De Koningshoeven brewery is known for five types of beers – Blond, Dubbel, Tripel, Quadrupel, Quadrupel Oak Aged and Witte Trappist. All beers are under the brand name ‘La Trappe’ and are delivered to countries like United States and Canada.
