Murphy’s Brewery is situated in Cork, Ireland. It was founded in 1856 by James Murphy. Originally, the brewery was recognized as Lady Brewery until it was acquired by Heineken International in 1983. The ‘Holly Well’ around the establishment became the main source of water for beer production. Murphy’s Brewery is well known for its dry stout, the Murphy’s Irish Stout.
