    Scourmont Abbey Brewery, also known as Notre-Dame de Scourmont Abbey, is a Trappist monastery located in the province of Hainut, Belgium. The monastery’s interest and talent for brewing along with passion for cheese-making has led to the creation and development of the brewery. Production of beers by the monks of the monastery was historically done for the purpose of providing funds for the monasteries and charities. Scourmont Abbey beers are branded as Chimay where the brewery is located. Some of its popular beers are the Chimay Premiere, Chimay Grand Reserve and Cinq Cents. Beers are often paired with cheeses, which reflect the monastery’s passion and heritage.
