Pyramid Breweries, Inc. is a local brewery in Seattle, Washington. It has been serving beers since its establishment in 1984. The brewery was originally named as Hart Brewing, Inc. It was founded by Beth Hartwell who creatively produced the well known Pyramid Ales of the brewery. In 1989, Hart Brewing, Inc. was purchased by investors from Seattle, Washington. Production of Hefeweizen has led to establishment of Pyramid Breweries, Inc. that specializes in ales. Hefeweizen Ale, Imperial Hefeweizen and Crystal Wheat Ale are some of the beers that brought recognition and notoriety to Pyramid Breweries, Inc. Today, Pyramid Breweries, Inc. operates breweries in Berkeley, California and Portland, Oregon.
